Qualifications and Accomplishments

Mr. Simmons is a registered, practicing Architect with over fourteen years of experience in the Hospitality and Gaming industry. He has been the Project Designer/Architect or Principal Designer for over ten million square feet of built work on four continents. Prior to focusing on Yomaz Design Studio full time, he was the Senior Designer at John Portman & Associates where he was involved in the design and development of multiple large scale, mixed-used projects from concept to completion. The projects he worked on have won numerous awards including the “FIABCI Prix d’Excellence” and nominated for an “Emporis Skyscraper Award”. As a designer and architect, Mr. Simmons has extensive experience with the production of drawings and construction administration of the projects to ensure the vision is realized.

Mr. Simmons earned his Bachelor of Science degree, with honors, as a professional Architect from Georgia Institute of Technology in 1991. He did his graduate studies overseas in sculpture, focusing on marble carving and metalwork. Mr. Simmons is a registered Architect in the state of Georgia and currently lives in Las Vegas with his wife and two children.
